Türkiye detains 110 people in counter-terrorism efforts

As many as 110 people have been detained as part of counter-terrorism operations in Türkiye’s 21 provinces.

Operations were conducted in the Diyarbekir, Bursa, Siirt, Mardin, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Bingol, Batman, Izmir, Mersin, Sanliurfa, Van, Sirnak, Mus, Bitlis, Hakkari, Osman, Sivas, Malatya, Ankara and Adiyaman provinces, according to TRT Haber.

Inspections were carried out at the homes of people suspected of financing the PKK/KCK terrorist organisation by transferring funds from municipalities to the organization through various companies.

They were duping young people into joining the organisation and organising and ordering street events, among other things.

The relevant operations are currently ongoing.
