Türkiye test-fires vertical MIDLAS missile launch system VIDEO

Türkiye has successfully tested a domestic vertical launch system MIDLAS.

The launch was carried out by a Turkish-made HİSAR surface-to-air missile system (SAM), the Head of the Turkish Presidential Administration's Defence Industry Directorate, Ismail Demir, reported on his Twitter page, according to Caliber.Az.

The head of the directorate noted that Turkish developers have laid the foundation for air defence systems that will fire from ships.

"In 2023, the MIDLAS system will be integrated into the frigate 'Istanbul' and will enter service with the Turkish Navy," Demir said.

The head of the directorate shared on social media footage of testing of the air defence system, including a successful missile launch.
