UK, Armenia hail intensively developing ties
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received British Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Leo Docherty.
Pashinyan noted that relations between Armenia and the UK are intensively developing and emphasised the importance of the recent first meeting of the Armenia-UK Strategic Dialogue. Pashinyan expressed confidence that the Armenia-UK cooperation has great potential and mutual visits at a high level will contribute to its full implementation, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.
Docherty emphasised that the recent official visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to the UK gave new impetus to the expansion and intensification of bilateral ties. Docherty also stressed the UK's interest in intensifying cooperation with Armenia.
The issues related to the process of regulating the Armenia-Azerbaijan relations were raised. The importance of continuing the peace process based on the principles agreed upon at the trilateral meetings held in Brussels on May 14 and July 15, 2023, was emphasised.
The views on regional peace and stability, as well as other issues of mutual interest, were exchanged.
