UN supports Azerbaijan in fulfilling sustainable development goals

The United Nations supports Azerbaijan in its efforts to fulfill sustainable development goals.

According to Report, the UN Resident Coordinator, Vladanka Andreeva reiterated this during a regional seminar of the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization held in Baku.

She noted, that Azerbaijan needs strong institutions for all-around inclusive development, an approach the UN supports.

The fulfillment of sustainable development goals was important, in particular in food production safety.

"Global food shortages are increasing, the pandemic has accelerated famine, and global supply chains have been disrupted by the war in Ukraine. On average, one in three people in the world lacks proper nutrition", Andreeva pointed out, emphasizing the need to unite efforts in order to change the situation in a positive way.
