Uzbekistan, Russia discuss boosting trade turnover to $30 billion
Uzbekistan and Russia are holding talks to increase bilateral trade turnover to $30 billion by expanding supplies of higher-value-added goods, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov said during a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Uzbek minister noted that trade volumes between the two countries grew by 30% in the first two months of 2026 alone, adding that both sides are focusing on increasing the share of high-value-added products in mutual trade to achieve the set target, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Aripov noted that cooperation projects are currently being actively implemented in the fields of mining and metallurgy, energy, chemicals, agriculture, textiles, electrical engineering, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence.
