During the event, Azerbaijani activists chanted slogans “Armenia, stop mining our lands!”, “Armenian mines kill civilians!”, “We demand justice for mine victims!”, “Stop ecological terror by Armenia!”, “We demand justice for the destruction of the ecological environment of Karabakh!
The protesters demanded from the UN Security Council to put an end to the military and environmental terror of Armenia in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, to ensure the security and human rights of Azerbaijani citizens in Karabakh, and to support the peaceful efforts of the Azerbaijani state.
Residents of Vienna, who showed interest in the event, were informed in detail about the military and environmental crimes of Armenia. They noted that mines laid in Azerbaijani territories are threatening people's lives, and after the war of 2020 to the present, the number of mine victims in Azerbaijan has reached 303 people. They also added that official Yerevan’s refusal to provide Azerbaijan with accurate maps of minefields violates human rights. The pickets also voiced Armenia’s mistreatment of Azerbaijanis soldiers under Armenia’s custody, who were subjected to physical and moral torture and insults. They also informed people around about Yerevan’s illegal exploitation of gold and copper-molybdenum in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan as well as deforestation of over 60,000 hectares and pollution of rivers.
