Azerbaijan, WB discuss potential investment projects

Azerbaijan has held talks with the World Bank on potential investment projects.

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov made the remarks on Twitter, Caliber.Az reports.

"We have held a meeting with the WorldBank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus (@SMolineus). We have touched upon the issues on the agenda of our cooperation with the Bank, as well as the potential investment projects," the minister said.

The bank's operations in Azerbaijan are currently regulated by the Partnership Framework Program (CPF), approved in 2015. The CPF was designed for fiscal years 2016-2020, but after analyzing its effectiveness in 2020, it was decided to extend it by approving two priority areas.

Azerbaijan has been a member of the World Bank since 1992. Over the past 30 years, the financial institution has allocated more than $4 billion for more than 50 projects implemented by Azerbaijan.
