On March 24, the movement of a convoy carrying out illegal military shipment along the Khankendi-Khalfali-Turshsu unpaved road was once again recorded.

The Defence Ministry of Azerbaijan told Caliber.Az that the technical surveillance equipment of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces recorded the movement of one BTR-82A combat vehicle belonging to the Russian peacekeeping contingent, as well as three KamAZ trucks covered with a tent and one KamAZ truck with a fuel tank belonging to Armenians.

Such actions of the Russian peacekeeping contingent are a violation of their obligations to comply with the provisions of the tripartite statement, according to the ministry.

“The creation of conditions for the free transportation of manpower, ammunition, mines, and other means of material and technical support for illegal Armenian formations stationed in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan is a gross violation of the agreements reached by the peacekeeping contingent. Such cases must be stopped immediately," the Defence Ministry noted.

"These illegal actions, which occur regularly, testify to the need for Azerbaijan to create a border checkpoint at the endpoint of the Lachin road."
