BP, Azerbaijani Investment Company sign deal

BP and the Azerbaijani Investment Company signed a document reflecting the companies’ intention to enter the Shafag project.

Report informs, citing the company that the agreement was signed with the participation of BP Chairman Helge Lund, BP Executive Vice President for Upstream and Operations Gordon Birrell and former CEO of the company Lord John Philip Brown.

The document was signed as part of their visit to Baku to participate in an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev, organized by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) at the Gulistan Palace.

The event was held on the occasion of Oil Worker's Day, established by Heydar Aliyev in 2001.
