Khojaly massacre perpetrators yet to be brought to justice Azerbaijani spokesman says
Aykhan Hajizada, the spokesperson of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a post on social network X on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide.
"On the night of 25-26 February 1992, in violation of all international norms and principles, Armenia’s armed forces committed a genocide in Khojaly town of Azerbaijan.
613 civilians were brutally murdered, including 63 children, 106 women & 70 elderly on grounds of ethnicity," Hajizada wrote, per Caliber.Az.
The post notes that vast media coverage, photo and video facts, as well as confessions from those responsible, attest to the violence in Khojaly, adding that the Khojaly Genocide found its reflections in US media and international reports.
"Unfortunately, perpetrators have not yet been brought to justice.
We believe that continuing measures taken at the national level and within the framework of international law will serve to end impunity, and bring those responsible for serious crimes committed during Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan to justice.
On the 32nd anniversary of the genocide, we demand Justice for Khojaly.
Rest in Peace!" Hajizada's post reads.
