Armenia's population keeps on shrinking

The permanent population of Armenia, according to the census of October 2022, is 2,928,914 people.

According to Sputnik Armenia, the National Statistical Committee of the country reports this.

It is about 3 per cent less than in the census of 2011 (3,018,854) and 9 per cent less than in 2001.

The statistics include permanent residents of the country as well as those temporarily (for up to one year) absent from the country.

The number of people present in the country amounted to 2 million 638,917 - 8 per cent less than in 2011 and 12 per cent less than in 2001.

This number includes permanent residents of Armenia present in the country at the time of the census, as well as those living in the country temporarily (less than one year).
