Azerbaijan, Czech Republic mull expansion of parliamentary cooperation PHOTO
Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova has met with Milan Sedlacek, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the country, to explore the enhancement of bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
The discussions encompassed political, economic, and humanitarian dimensions of collaboration, with both parties emphasizing the significance of mutual visits and interactions at the parliamentary level, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Gafarova highlighted the critical role of inter-parliamentary ties in fostering interstate relations and expressed optimism about the continuation of this cooperation during the 7th convocation.
Ambassador Sedlacek hailed the ongoing cooperation across various sectors, particularly between legislative bodies. The ambassador also congratulated Azerbaijan on hosting COP29, stating that the Czech Republic would be represented at a high level during the event.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on additional issues of mutual interest.
