Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kazakhstan establish joint railway venture
The national operators of railway networks of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint venture on a parity basis, the press service of the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC told Report.
The agreement between Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Kazakhstan Railways JSC and Georgian Railways JSC was signed within the framework of the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi.
The aim is to develop a multimodal service on the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
The new company Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd. is being established on the basis of the Astana International Financial Centre.
The company will provide services based on the "one-stop" principle, guarantee delivery of cargo on time and contribute to the development of multimodal service in the directions China-Europe/Türkiye-China.
