Azerbaijan, Iraq keen on cooperation in energy sector PHOTO

Azerbaijan and Iraq have discussed opportunities for cooperation in the energy sector as Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani.

Minister Jabbarov made a post on his X account about the meeting, Report informs.

"Within our visit to Iraq, we together with President of SOCAR Rovshan Najaf, held a meeting with Hayan Abdul Ghani, the Deputy Prime Minister and Oil Minister of Iraq. We discussed our country’s objectives in the green energy transition and the projects implemented by SOCAR with partners in this direction. Additionally, we expected prospects for potential cooperation in the energy field,” the post reads.
