Envoy: Azerbaijan – Ukraine’s key economic partner in South Caucasus

Azerbaijan is Ukraine’s main economic partner in the South Caucasus, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev said at the Black and Caspian Freight Forum 2025: Corridors, Cargo, Infrastructure in Baku.

“Azerbaijan is Ukraine’s primary economic partner in the South Caucasus, a region whose significance is increasing due to the urgent need for energy supplies to Europe, as well as the development of the Middle Corridor and East-West connections," he noted, Caliber.Az writes via local media.

The ambassador added: "This is why expanding cooperation in the transport sector is a priority, along with enhancing regional interaction between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea, including through the GUAM format."
