Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan mark 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations PHOTO

An exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan on February 27.

The event was attended by the ministry’s senior officials, Kyrgyzstan’s embassy in Azerbaijan, the head of the Chamber of Commerce, the head of the Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan Friendship Society and other guests, Caliber.Az reports.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said that friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries are built on common historical and cultural values of the peoples.

Emphasising the special role of heads of state in the development of bilateral relations, Khalaf Khalafov noted the successful interaction between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan both bilaterally and within multilateral platforms.

Khalafov also expressed confidence that the multi-vector relations between the two countries would continue to develop in an upward direction.

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev then congratulated the participants of the event on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He noted that the bilateral cooperation is based on mutually beneficial partnership and friendship and is successfully developing in political, trade and economic, scientific, technical, cultural and other spheres.

Noting that the goal of both countries is to contribute to the development of the Turkic world and political and cultural unity, the ambassador said that the state visit of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev to Kyrgyzstan last year and the documents signed during the visit laid a good foundation for a new stage in relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.

The event concluded with an exhibition on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.
