Azerbaijan, Moldova augment agricultural ties ahead of upcoming commission meeting
The 6th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Moldova Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation is set to take place in Baku on April 11, with both countries eager to deepen their collaboration in various sectors, especially agriculture.
The announcement came after a significant meeting between Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, and Moldova’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alexander Esaulenko, Caliber.Az reports, citing domestic media.
Mammadov highlighted the government's ongoing support for the agricultural sector and noted that the relationship between the two nations is growing stronger across multiple fields.
The Minister said that cooperation between the two countries was progressing at a rapid pace and that they were especially committed to expanding their agricultural partnership.
The discussions covered a wide range of topics, including the enhancement of the legal and contractual framework, boosting trade in agricultural and food products, and sharing modern agricultural technologies. Additionally, both sides expressed a strong interest in launching joint programs aimed at exchanging knowledge in scientific research and education in agriculture.
The upcoming commission meeting will serve as an important milestone in advancing Azerbaijan-Moldova economic ties, with a clear focus on strengthening their agricultural collaboration and expanding mutual trade opportunities.
