Azerbaijan resettles 18 more families to liberated Lachin PHOTO / UPDATE
Another group of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) has arrived in Lachin, marking a significant step in the city's recovery.
A welcome ceremony was held to celebrate the occasion, during which the keys to newly assigned apartments were handed over to the residents, Caliber.Az reports citing the local media.
With this latest arrival, a total of 552 families, comprising 2,031 individuals, are now permanently residing in Lachin.

Formerly internally displaced people (IPDs) are returning to the restored city of Lachin, following directives from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
On July 31, families who had been temporarily accommodated in hostels, sanatoriums, children's camps, and various unfinished or administrative buildings across Azerbaijani districts departed from Garadagh district in Baku to return to their native lands, Caliber.Az reports.
At this stage, 18 families—totalling 60 people—are returning to Lachin. Including those who departed on July 31, a total of 552 families, comprising 2,031 individuals, are now permanently residing in Lachin.
Since the commencement of the resettlement programme, a total of 534 families, encompassing 1,971 individuals, have been granted permanent residence in Lachin. This ongoing resettlement effort marks a significant step towards rebuilding and revitalizing the community, reflecting the commitment to restoring normalcy and prosperity in the region.
The Azerbaijani Army took full control of Lachin city along with the adjacent Zabukh and Sus villages on August 25, 2022.
