Azerbaijan, Russia discuss cooperation prospects between universities PHOTO
A delegation led by Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov visited the Russian Federation to mark the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg State University.
The purpose of the visit was to gain firsthand insight into the higher education institutions of both countries and to explore potential areas of cooperation following the Azerbaijani-Russian Forum, the ministry said, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The delegation included Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education Ulker Sattarova, Head of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Science and Education Simuzar Feyzullayeva, Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) Adalat Murdov and Rector of Baku Engineering University Yagub Piriyev.
During the visit, the delegation held a meeting with Rector of St. Petersburg State University Nikolay Kropachev. The discussion focused on the prospects for cooperation between higher education institutions of both countries.
Moreover, to facilitate the exchange of experience, meetings were held with representatives from the departments of applied cybernetics, geophysics, economics, system programming, and other faculties at St. Petersburg State University. Presentations on their activities were also shared.
