Azerbaijan's Khankandi, Aghdara, Khojaly see population surge amid rapid reconstruction
Over 23,000 residents currently live in Azerbaijan’s Khankandi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, where extensive repair and restoration work is ongoing in multiple settlements.
The information was provided by Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankandi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, during an event held at Garabagh University, organized as part of the “Mobile Youth Service” project in observance of the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty, AZERTAC reports.
Gahramanov underscored that reconstruction in the territories liberated from occupation is advancing at a swift pace, with large-scale infrastructure initiatives underway. These projects encompass the development of new roads, railways, airports, electricity networks, and water supply systems. He further highlighted that socio-economic programs designed to foster entrepreneurship and increase employment have already created new job opportunities for local residents.
Emphasizing the pivotal role of youth participation and education in achieving sustainable regional development, Gahramanov noted that Garabagh University in Khankandi serves as a cornerstone for the intellectual and social growth of the area.
