Azerbaijan's Shusha to host event of Organisation of Turkic States PHOTO
Secretary General of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliyev has said that the next meeting of the Health Ministers of the Organisation will be held in Azerbaijan’s Shusha city.
The decision is reflected in a final Joint Declaration adopted by health ministers of member and observer countries of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) at a meeting in Samarkand, Caliber.Az informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health.
The document reflects such directions of cooperation as the development of the Rules of Pharmacopoeia of Turkic-speaking countries, preparation of a joint draft Action Plan on humanitarian and medical-sanitary assistance in emergencies, as well as on tackling infectious diseases.
In addition, the Declaration envisages considering possibilities of joint production of medicines and medical equipment, mutual recognition of diplomas issued in the field of medicine by the Member States of the Organisation.
It will contribute to the creation of a common network in the field of health tourism with the participation of Member States and observers of the OTS, the creation of a Unified Medical Information Dictionary, etc.
Moreover, the Declaration included some proposals regarding the venue of the next meeting of the Health Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.
Omuraliyev noted that the city of Shusha was declared the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2023.
The OTS chief said he is sure that the event to be held in Shusha City will be organized at a high level.
