Azerbaijan, Serbia collaborate on military strategies at bilateral expert meeting
On February 27, 2025, an expert meeting focusing on the "44-day Patriotic War and Local Anti-Terrorist Operations" took place between Azerbaijan and Serbia, as part of the bilateral defence cooperation plan signed for 2025.
The meeting, which involved representatives from both countries, was reported by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence, per Caliber.Az.
During the discussions, the Serbian delegation received briefings on several key topics, including “Path to Territorial Integrity – 44-day Patriotic War,” “Reforms Implemented in the Azerbaijani Army Post-Patriotic War,” “Defence Strategy,” and “Anti-terrorist Measures for Restoring Sovereignty.” These sessions provided valuable insights into Azerbaijan’s defence policies and military advancements.
The meeting also featured an extensive exchange of views on military cooperation and various topics of mutual interest between the two nations.
Following the discussions, the Serbian delegation visited the Central Command Center of the Azerbaijani Air Force. There, they were briefed on the centre’s history, operational direction, goals, and tasks.
The command centre, equipped with automated control systems, operates in line with modern standards. The Serbian delegation’s questions regarding the centre’s operations were thoroughly addressed.
This meeting is part of the ongoing efforts between Azerbaijan and Serbia to strengthen their military ties and promote bilateral defence cooperation.
