Azerbaijan showcases vision for rebuilt Jabrayil in liberated Zangezur PHOTO
A vision of modernity and renewal is taking shape in Azerbaijan’s liberated lands.
The Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, Anar Guliyev, has unveiled 3D visualisations of the second and third residential complexes in Jabrayil — a city freed from Armenian occupation during the Patriotic War of autumn 2020, Caliber.Az reports.

Thus, the new Jabrayil will embody distinctive contemporary architecture and provide residents with the highest living standards.
The project envisions the construction of new five- to seven-storey residential buildings alongside non-residential facilities, creating a fully integrated urban environment.
Spread across more than 10 hectares, the two new complexes will feature around 50 multi-storey buildings, offering a total of 1,361 flats ranging from one to five rooms.

Each complex will be equipped with essential social infrastructure — from schools and healthcare facilities to recreation areas — designed to foster a vibrant community.
The developments form part of Azerbaijan’s First State Programme on the Great Return, which aims to restore 100 settlements across the liberated territories by 2026.
The foundation stones for these complexes were laid by President Ilham Aliyev on 28 October. Both projects were designed by the Baku State Design Institute, operating under the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture.
