Azerbaijan, Slovenia explore ways to broaden energy cooperation
Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has met with Slovenian Minister of Environment, Climate and Energy Bojan Kumer, who is visiting Baku.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to broaden energy cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Energy.
"The meeting covered topics on the bilateral and multilateral energy cooperation agenda between the two countries, including natural gas and renewable energy sources. The importance of the Memorandum of Understanding between SOCAR and Geoplin for gas supplies was highlighted as part of expanding cooperation and enhancing Slovenia's energy security," the report stated.
Kumer detailed Slovenia's energy system and energy transition plans.
Shahbazov discussed Azerbaijan's large-scale green energy projects, which are being carried out with private investment and international partners, along with plans to export renewable energy.
The meeting also addressed the potential for expanding existing ties in various energy sectors.
