Azerbaijan to export 5 gigawatts of green energy by 2030 State Agency says
Head of State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources Javid Abdullayev has said that the renewable energy projects with a capacity of 7 gigawatts will be implemented in Azerbaijan by 2030, 5 gigawatts of which are planned to be exported.
Addressing the online session "Opportunities of Azerbaijan’s renewable energy sector", Abdullayev noted that development of renewable energy is one of the key priorities for Azerbaijan. He also spoke about the potential of green energy and projects implemented in the country, highlighted the opportunities and routes for export of green energy, Report informs citing the agency.
The Agency head emphasized the presence of a favorable investment climate in Azerbaijan and invited Malaysian companies to participate in the implementation of future projects.
The online session "Opportunities of Azerbaijan's renewable energy sector" was jointly organized by the Energy Transition and Public Utilities Ministry of Malaysia and the country’s Embassy in Azerbaijan.
