Azerbaijan, World Bank discuss joint projects
Azerbaijan and the World Bank have discussed the Master Plan of Baku’s development until 2040.
At the meeting with the World Bank's Regional Director for Sustainable Development, Europe and Central Asia Sameh Wahba, chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan Anar Guliyev highlighted the concept and priorities of the document on sustainable development of the capital until 2040, the committee told Report.
Vahba noted the strengthening international role of Azerbaijan in the field of urban planning and implementation of sustainable development goals and expressed confidence that reconstruction of cities and villages, joint projects with the World Bank will contribute to the realization of the "New Urban Agenda".
The sides discussed opportunities for implementation of joint projects in Azerbaijan in the field of sustainable urban development, renewable energy, climate change, greening and digitalization.
