Azerbaijani delegation tackles notarial reforms during visit to Estonia
Azerbaijan's delegation has recently visited Estonia to discuss key practical issues surrounding the organisation and execution of notarial activities.
The visit, which included officials from the Ministry of Justice and the Notary Chamber of Azerbaijan, provided an opportunity for meaningful exchanges with local notarial organisations and experts, Caliber.Az reports.
The primary focus of the meetings was the training, selection, and ongoing professional development of notaries, a critical aspect of ensuring the efficiency and integrity of notarial services. Another key topic was the operation and management of electronic notarial systems, which have become increasingly important in modernising legal processes.
During the visit, the delegation also toured the Estonian e-Government Centre, where they participated in a session dedicated to the digitalisation of government services. This was a key point of interest as Azerbaijan explores ways to enhance the efficiency of its own notarial services through technology. In addition to these discussions, hybrid talks were held on the future development of the notary profession.
The discussions featured notable contributions from Professor of Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg Azar Aliyev, Professor of Tallinn University of Technology Thomas Hoffman, and German notary Vladimir Primachenko. These experts provided valuable insights on how to advance notarial practices in both Azerbaijan and Estonia.
