Baku hosts Peking to Paris motor rally for first time PHOTO
The 8th round of the international Peking to Paris Motor Challenge rally was held in Baku for the first time with the support of Baku City Circuit operating company on June 8.
According to Report, lovers of retro cars gathered at the event, which took place near the fountain "Seven Beauties" in the Seaside National Park.
The Peking to Paris Motors Challenge is not only a car race, but also an adventure with an endurance test. Participants compete on one of the most difficult routes in the world, covering a distance of about 14,000 kilometers in vintage cars.
The participants of the international race, which lasts 37 days, started in China on May 18, passing through Mongolia and Kazakhstan and arrived in Azerbaijan.
The event ended with a demonstration of samples of Azerbaijani culture and a celebration.
It should be noted that the rally has been held since 1907. The competition, in which 100 people take part, is scheduled to end in France.
