Birlestik-2024: Nations gear up for joint military exercises in Kazakhstan PHOTO
The operational-tactical command and staff exercise "Birlestik-2024" is being prepared to take place in Aktau, Kazakhstan.
The exercises will kick off on July 11 at the Oymasha training range in Kazakhstan and Cape Tokmak in the Caspian Sea, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Senior staff from delegations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, who will participate in the international exercises, convened for meetings as part of the preparations, focused on security arrangements, organizational matters, and other logistical issues.
Servicemen have conducted site familiarization activities to ensure readiness and safety protocols during the exercises. Additionally, a tactical orienteering competition named "Bagdar" has been scheduled as part of "Birlestik-2024," with the main stage set for July 13.
Azerbaijan's contingent for the exercise includes Army commandos, paratroopers, search and rescue teams, Su-25 aircraft from the Air Force, and patrol and landing ships from the Navy.
The joint operational-tactical command and staff exercises are slated to continue until July 17, aiming to bolster regional cooperation and enhance interoperability among the armed forces of the participating nations.
