Board of Caucasus Muslims responds to Stockholm Quran incident Official statement
The Caucasus Muslims' Board issued a statement regarding the recent burning of the Quran scripture in Stockholm.
According to APA, citing the organization, the office called all countries of the world, international organizations and religious institutions to strongly condemn the burning of the Koran in a statement and to make more efforts to prevent any manifestations of radicalism, calls for religious hatred and the insulting of religious shrines and attributes under the cover of religion.
"We would like to emphasize once again that the freedom of speech should not consist of offending moral feelings, calling people to hatred, but rather should call people to spirituality. The world is a common home for all of us, and each of us has a duty and obligation to protect peace in this house", their statement read.
