Chinese FM to visit Russia for BRICS security meeting
Chinese Foreign Minister, and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Wang Yi, is scheduled to visit St. Petersburg from September 11 to 12.
His visit will coincide with the 14th Meeting of BRICS High-Ranking Officials responsible for security matters, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, Yi’s visit is at the invitation of Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu. During his stay, FM Yi will engage with other BRICS representatives to discuss critical security issues impacting the member states.
This high-level visit underscores the ongoing collaboration and dialogue within the BRICS framework, aimed at addressing global and regional security challenges.
