Cisco VP: Azerbaijan holds key to future of cybersecurity PHOTO

01 June 2024 15:47

During her speech at the III National Cyber Security Forum in Baku, Adele Trombetta, Senior Vice President of Cisco, highlighted the global challenge of cyber attacks faced by both governments and companies.

Quoting an Azerbaijani proverb, she stressed the importance of laying the groundwork today for a secure tomorrow.

Emphasizing the significance of education, Trombetta highlighted Article 42 of the Azerbaijani Constitution, which enshrines every citizen's right to learning. She noted how this right unifies hundreds of thousands of students and pupils in Baku city, underscoring the potential for Azerbaijan to emerge as a vital partner for the West through its continued efforts in education and business.

Quoting Azerbaijani poet Mahammad Fuzuli, she reiterated the importance of prioritizing education over material wealth as a pathway to success.

Trombetta commended Azerbaijan's strides in cybersecurity and digital development, expressing her belief that the country holds the future of cybersecurity. She praised the government's commitment to advancing the nation in these critical areas.

The III National Cyber Security Forum, held against the backdrop of the "Green World Solidarity Year," signifies Azerbaijan's dedication to global cooperation in cybersecurity. The event, organized by the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA) in partnership with the "Azerconnect” Group, demonstrates Azerbaijan's proactive stance in addressing cybersecurity challenges.
