Economy minister, TotalEnergies CEO mull joint energy projects

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné have discussed joint projects implemented in the field of energy.

“During the meeting with TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné CEO, we engaged in discussions about the successful partnership between the company and our country, joint projects implemented in the field of #energy, as well as prospects for cooperation in #renewableenergy production,” the economy minister wrote on X, former Twitter, Caliber.Az reports.

Notably, the TotalEnergies chief is on a visit to Azerbaijan. Prior to the meeting with Jabbarov, he also met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the expansion of the activities of the "TotalEnergies" company in Azerbaijan, including the transition to the full development stage of the "Absheron" field, and the company expressed its interest in participating in the projects.
