Eight people need hospital treatment following smoke inhalation in Azerbaijan’s Gadabay
A fire has broken out at a gold and copper processing plant in Azerbaijan’s Gadabay district as a result of a short circuit in the power grid.
Eight people were poisoned as a result of smoke inhalation, Report informs.
Forty-one-year-old Ayaz Alasgarov, 37-year-old Etibar Nasibov, 34-yer-old Elbrus Aliyev, 29-year-old Fuzuli Mukhtarov, 44-year-old Anar Abdullayev, 40-year-old Anar Shirinov, 29-year-old Yusif Nuriyev and 44-year-old Rafig Mammadov having smoke inhalation symptoms were hospitalised in the Gadabay Central District Hospital.
The fire brigade of the Gadabay district was brought to the scene.
Eight employees of UK’s Anglo-Asian Mining Plc, extracting gold, silver, and copper in Azerbaijan, who were near the scene, were sent for a medical check-up at the Gadabay Central Regional Hospital in accordance with the company's internal security rules.
