FM: Azerbaijan's cooperation with African countries growing every year
Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, has said that Azerbaijan's cooperation with African countries is growing every year.
Bayramov made these remarks at the conference entitled "Role of the African Continent in the Non-Aligned Movement" dedicated to Africa Day, according to Report.
He noted that Azerbaijan's goal is to further develop cooperation with African countries.
The minister reminded that Azerbaijan received an observer status in the African Union.
“Azerbaijan considers African countries one of the priority countries for its foreign policy. At the same time, our country renders financial support for the development projects of the African countries, including girls' education,” Bayramov added.
He said that students from African countries also study in Azerbaijan upon the governmental scholarships.
The foreign minister noted that Azerbaijan, within its chairmanship in the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), is also working to intensify cooperation among NAM member states in various spheres to ensure the well-being of African countries.
