France’s colonial and neocolonial policies to undergo legal analysis in new project
Legal analysis of France's policy of colonialism and neocolonialism will be conducted within the framework of the project "Strengthening Global Initiatives to Combat Neocolonialism and Colonialism".
The development of this grant project was discussed at the regular consultations between the delegation of French Polynesia and Baku Initiative Group, Report informs.
Within the framework of the project, which the organisation has already started to implement with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations, a legal assessment of human rights violations occurring in the overseas territories where France is pursuing a policy of colonialism and neo-colonialism will be carried out. A detailed report will also be prepared and submitted to international organisations and other stakeholders.
The project will cover the period from June to October of this year.
At the consultation, views were exchanged on the possible contribution of the ruling party of French Polynesia "Tavini" to the implementation of the project.
The delegation of French Polynesia is on a visit to our country at the invitation of Baku Initiative Group, within the framework of which the prospects of cooperation in different spheres are discussed.
