French Senate president urges to speed up sending arms to Armenia
Chairman of the French Senate Gerard Larcher called for speeding up the dispatch of arms to Armenia.
"I demanded to speed up France's sending defensive weapons to Armenia to ensure its security!", Larcher wrote on Twitter after a meeting with Armenian Parliament Speaker Alain Simonyan, Caliber.Az reports.
It should be noted that France is stepping up efforts to destabilise our region.
In June, France announced the delivery of 50 "VAB MK3" armoured personnel carriers to Armenia.
Emmanuel Dupuis, director of the Institute for Forecasting and Security in Europe, said that Yerevan is also discussing the possibility of purchasing "Bastion" and "Sherpa" armoured vehicles.
It was noted that the defence cooperation between Armenia and France would intensify with the appointment of a military attaché to the embassy in Yerevan.
