Russian MoD: Air defences down 43 Ukrainian drones in nighttime interception
On the night of August 25 to 26, Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 43 Ukrainian drones across various regions of Russia.
“Air defense units intercepted and destroyed 43 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: six UAVs were downed over the Leningrad, Ryazan, and Tula regions; five over the Volgograd region; four over the Bryansk region; three each over the Oryol and Pskov regions; two each over the Belgorod and Kursk regions; and one each over the Voronezh, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, and Rostov regions,” the ministry said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.
In a previous such incident, Russia's Defence Ministry claimed to have intercepted at least 21 Ukrainian drones across Smolensk, Bryansk, Oryol, Kaluga, Tver and Moscow regions.
