Georgia, Turkmenistan strengthen cooperation on Middle Corridor
Georgia and Turkmenistan continue to deepen cooperation in transport and transit within the framework of the Middle Corridor project, Alexander Khvtisiashvili, Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia, has said.
At an event dedicated to Turkmenistan’s Independence Day and Permanent Neutrality Day, Khvtisiashvili noted that the two countries are working closely to diversify regional transport routes and enhance the competitiveness of the East–West corridor, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
He emphasised that sustainable partnerships in transit and port infrastructure are particularly important for the development of the Middle Corridor.
The deputy minister added that joint initiatives under the project not only improve the speed and efficiency of cargo transportation but also create new economic opportunities for both Georgia and Turkmenistan.
