Inaugural China-Kazakhstan-Europe transport caravan reaches port of Kuryk Reviving Silk Road route
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping have discussed the maiden voyage of the first transport caravan along the "China-Kazakhstan-Europe" route, marking a significant milestone in regional connectivity.
Altai Ali, chairman of the Transport Committee, confirmed the successful arrival of a cargo road transport caravan and container train from China at the ports of Aktau and Kuryk, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
These shipments are destined for Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye, and various European countries, symbolizing the revitalization of the historic Silk Road.
The caravan's journey along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) spans 10 days and covers 4,800 kilometres. Passing through eight regions of Kazakhstan, the caravan arrived at the port of Kuryk today.
