Kaliningrad Amber Plant plans to open retail outlet in Azerbaijan
The Kaliningrad Amber Plant (part of the Rostec Group), which owns a chain of stores in Russia, plans to open a retail outlet in Azerbaijan, according to the Plant's press service.
“Negotiations are underway to launch retail outlets in Hong Kong and Azerbaijan,” the press statement said, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Currently, the plant's retail network includes nine stores located in the Kaliningrad region, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. The plant has also opened its first store in China.
In 2024, the plant extracted 627 tonnes of the mineral. The plant produces approximately 150,000 items annually. It is the only enterprise in the world that conducts industrial-scale mining of raw amber and manufactures jewellery and souvenir products from it.
