Magnitude 3.6 earthquake jolts Armenia

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 has occurred in Armenia, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
According to the data of the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the epicentre of the earthquake was located 17 km southeast of Yerevan, at a depth of 8.4 km.
Residents in Yerevan, as well as the Kotayk and Ararat regions, felt the tremors, which registered an intensity of 3-4 points on the seismic scale.
Armenia is situated in a seismically active zone, making it prone to frequent earthquakes.
