Media Development Agency condemns experts of manipulating public opinion
Despite repeated statements by the Media Development Agency to ensure journalists' freedom of action during the snap presidential elections, some experts are trying to steer public opinion in the wrong direction.
The agency told Caliber.Az that any journalist can carry out his professional activity at the polling stations on presentation of only his journalist's card, his right of access to information will not be restricted in any way.
"It should be noted that during a series of events jointly organised by the Central Electoral Commission, the Media Development Agency, the Audiovisual Council and the Press Council, it was emphasised that media entities must comply with the requirements of electoral legislation both during the pre-election campaign period and directly on the day of the vote.
The Media Development Agency constantly interacts with media covering the election process and coordinates with the CEC to answer their questions promptly," the statement said.
