Media: Türkiye's electronic warfare systems jammed Assad’s military communications PHOTO/VIDEO
Türkiye's advanced electronic warfare systems have played a crucial role in neutralizing the military communications of Bashar al-Assad's regime, Caliber.Az writes via Intelligence Online.
The Milkar-4A2 and ILGAR systems, developed by the Turkish defence company ASELSAN, were used to disable Assad's military communication networks during operations conducted by Syrian Revolutionary forces.

The MILKAR-4A2 system, a high-frequency (HF) jamming technology, was specifically designed by ASELSAN for electronic attacks (EA) targeting communication systems operating in the shortwave frequency range. This system aims to provide tactical advantages to friendly forces by disrupting or delaying communications in this frequency range, or by causing incorrect transmissions of information.
Notably, the MILKAR-4A2 is highly mobile, with all its components transportable on a vehicle platform. It is capable of operating independently, allowing it to be deployed flexibly across various battlefields.
In addition to MILKAR, the mobile V/UHF electronic warfare system ILGAR-2, also developed by ASELSAN, is designed for electronic attacks against communication systems in the V/UHF frequency range. ILGAR can be used to jam or delay communication within target ranges or provide tactical advantages by transmitting false information.
ILGAR’s flexibility is enhanced by its division into two separate units for lower and upper frequency ranges. It can be deployed on either a 6x6 tactical armoured vehicle or an 8x8 tactical wheeled combat vehicle, offering high mobility and the ability to swiftly reposition after mission completion.
