Minister: Caucasus security hinges on peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan

During the Efes-2024 multinational exercises, National Defence Minister Yashar Guler asserted that establishing sustainable peace and security in the South Caucasus region hinges upon a comprehensive peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

According to Report, Guler further stressed Türkiye's endorsement of genuine efforts by both sides in the peace process, echoing President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's sentiment that the current opportunity for historic peace must not be squandered.

Additionally, Güler welcomed recent statements by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, noting their realism and potential benefit for Armenia and its society.
