Oil export via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan up by 6% in Jan-Aug 23 Data from BOTAS International Limited

Some 152,590 million barrels of oil were exported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in January-August 2023, which is 5.9 per cent more than in the same period 2022.

Around 19,181 million barrels were transported via BTC in August (+ 4 per cent of the figure in August 2022), the Turkish BOTAS International Limited (BIL - operator of the Turkish section of BTC) told Interfax-Azerbaijan.

Some 225,445 million barrels of oil were exported via BTC in 2022 (+12.6 per cent of the figure as of 2021).

Currently, oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields and condensate from the Shah Deniz field, as well as oil and condensate of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) are pumped via BTC. Oil from other sources is also transported via BTC.
