Pakistan waives visa fees for Azerbaijani citizens
Pakistan has announced that citizens of Azerbaijan, along with those from 125 other countries, will now be able to obtain visas for travel to Pakistan free of charge.
The country's Information Minister, Ataullah Tarar, confirmed that electronic visa (e-Visa) fees for visitors from these 126 countries, including Azerbaijan, will be eliminated, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
This move is part of broader efforts to simplify the visa application process and enhance accessibility for foreign nationals.
Under this new policy, Azerbaijani citizens, along with others, will be able to secure a 90-day visa at no cost, applicable for both tourism and business purposes.
The process has been streamlined to ensure that these visas will be issued within 24 hours of application, offering greater convenience for travellers.
In March, Azerbaijan's ASAN Visa system simplified the visa application process for Pakistani travellers.
The three-step process involves applying online, making a secure payment, and downloading the e-visa, making it more efficient and convenient.
This initiative, aimed at promoting international tourism and cultural exchange, allows Pakistani citizens to explore Azerbaijan's rich history and diverse landscapes. The normal visa fee is $26, with a processing time of three working days, while the urgent visa costs $61 and is processed within three hours.
