President Tokayev urges to protect Pushkin, Dostoyevsky museums in Kazakhstan
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that the history of the republic is linked to the names of many famous figures of other nations, including Russian writers Alexander Pushkin and Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
He called for the preservation of the legacy of these authors in the country, according to the president's Telegram channel.
"Kazakhstan has unique museums of such world-famous poets and writers as Alexander Pushkin, Taras Shevchenko, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Mikhail Sholokhov and several others. We need to preserve and study this heritage, which embodies the diversity of our national culture", Tokayev said in his speech at the National Kurultai.
He also added that various cultures are woven into the Kazakh national code. Tokayev stressed that the population of the state highly values its history, including its moments associated with representatives of other cultures.
