Russia appoints new ambassador to Azerbaijan PHOTO

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Mikhail Yevdokimov as the country's new ambassador to Azerbaijan.

By another decree, the previous Russian Ambassador to Baku Mikhail Bocharnikov was relieved of his post, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Russian official legal information portal.

It should be noted that Yevdokimov has been working in the Russian Foreign Ministry since 1981. He worked in various diplomatic positions in the central office of the Russian Foreign Ministry and abroad. Since November 2011 he worked as the director of the First Department of the CIS countries.
