Russia’s Zakharova hints at reluctance of Armenian Security Council chief to join CIS meeting in Moscow
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova has hinted at the reluctance of Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan to join his colleagues in Moscow at the meeting of the secretaries of security councils of the CIS countries.
Zakharova made the remarks at a briefing, answering News.ru's question about the reasons for Grigoryan's absence at this meeting, according to Report.
"There is no sense for us to clarify the situation with [the Armenian Security Council secretary] Armen Grigoryan. He was going to fly in, but referring to the change of schedule, he refused. We saw later that he received in Yerevan the US State Department's Senior Advisor on the South Caucasus," Zakharova said, adding that journalists themselves should draw conclusions.
She also said that Armenia was represented by the ambassador to Russia at the mentioned Moscow meeting, noting that the level of representation is determined by the states themselves.
